Fans Interview: Nobby

Fans Interview: Nobby

How long have you been following Rovers and what was your first game?
I can't remember the first game, but it would have been around 1967/68

What is your most memorable moment following the gas.

Best?
Seeing the team walk out at Wembley the first time. I could hardly see through the tears.

Worst?
Seeing the South Stand burn down and then leaving Eastville.

Who is your all time favourite player?
Wayne Jones, sheer quality.

What would you say is the best goal you have seen us score?
Loads, but the Justin Channing goal against the Evil Ones always springs to mind.

Best away ground visited? With Rovers?
Anfield.

What are your thoughts on the proposed new stadium?
I would prefer a brand-new stadium in South Glos. However, if that's not possible we've got to make the best of what we've got. It will take time, but this is Rovers and we've got all the time in the world. Things like new stadia don't happen overnight unless you've got someone to finance it.

Which player(s) would you like to see us sign (realistically)?
I'll leave that to the management team.

Which player would you like to see leave the club?
I hate to say it, but I think it's time Lewis moved on.

What are your thoughts on how last season ended and how did it compare to your expectations?
I was as disappointed as anyone at the way the season tailed-off. I'm ok with the consolidation though.

What are your expectations for next season?
I expect us to kick-on next season and at least be in with a shout at the play-off's.

Where do you sit/stand at the Ground?
I stand on the Bass.

Name the celebrity you would most like to bang
I would give Emma Crosby (Sky Newsreader) the best 7 seconds of her life!
