Parkes Signs For Rovers

Bristol Rovers have today snapped up Leicester City defender Tom Parkes.

Parkes joins Rovers on a one month loan deal from Championship side Leicester City. The 20 year old already knows Cian Bolger who is also on loan Leicester City and comes in after Aaron Downes who was on loan from Chesterfield got injured and looks to be out for the rest of the season.

Parkes has had loan spells at Burton Albion and Yeovil Town. He has also represented England at under-17 level 18 times, scoring 1 goal. Parkes was a member of the England Under-17 squad for the 2009 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship. He has yet to make an appearance for Leicester, but was an unused substitute as Leicester beat Swansea City 2-1 at the Walkers Stadium in the third round of the FA Cup.
