'If It's Football, It's Vital'

McGhee On 7-1 Win

Mark McGhee was pleased not only with the 7-1 scoreline, but also the amount of positives that came out of the game.

There was goals Matt Harrold two, Eliot Richards got his first ever senior Hat-Trick, Jim Patterson got his first Rovers goal and Mustapha Carayol scored another wonder goal from 35 yards out. 'The bottom line for me was there were lot better performances, in terms of energy, from the strikers in particular, I thought Eliot and Matt Harrold were terrific.

'I thought the passing, even in the first half, was very good, on what is an almost impossible surface. There were just so many positives.

'Defensively they all looked good at the back, although we lost a disappointing goal. But through the whole team we looked good. Our shape and our willingness to work for each other was key to us going on to get the result.' Said McGhee to the official.

The was also a return to action from midfielder Wayne Brown who has been out injured since October.
