Five Star Rovers
Bristol Rovers played their last game at home for the season and ended up hitting five.
Manager Mark McGhee was forced into two changes, Tom Parkes was suspended due to his red card last week and right back Danny Woodards failed a late fitness test. Before the match there was a minute applause for Rovers legend Alfie Biggs followed by Goodnight Irene. Matt Harrolds headed goal from Carayols cross to put Rovers 1-0 up was a fitting tribute to The Baron.
Rovers were 2-0 11 minutes later, Mustapha Carayol was brought down by Peter Murphy and Harrold slotted home from the spot. Dorman made it three with a stunning volley from Harrolds pass. Kevin McIntyre's then pulled one back for Stanley straight from a corner which deceived home keeper Scott Bevan to make it 3-1.
In the second half Sub Matt Lund added two goals to make it 5-1. Winger Mustapha Carayol was once again in great form and had a hand in almost all the goals. Rovers move into the top half of the table with one game left.
