Oxford Turn Down Rovers Constable Bid

Oxford Turn Down Rovers Constable Bid

Oxford United have turned an official approach for striker James Constable.

Its believed Rovers made of a bid of around £120,000 for the 27 year old striker which was turned down by Oxford United. Constable has been with Oxford since the summer of 2008 and has scored 78 goals in 146 starts.

Constable turned down a move to Swindon Town this season after the two clubs agreed a fee for the 6'1" striker. Its not sure if Rovers will return with an improved offer.
