'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Vital Gas Interviews 2012: Edward Teach

1)How long have you been a Rovers fans?

'd say about 26 years proper - started about 11 or 12 years old.

2)Mark McGhee, your opinion please?

think he could be very good for us. One concern I have is his loyalty, but that's modern times really, so can't do much about that.

3)Best and worst moments of last season?

aving dug up the buried treasure to shell out on a new flagship, I only managed two games last season. But actual events - worst has to be Buckle's arrival and the best his departure. A madman.

4)What will your opinion of the board be if they deliver The New Mem as promised?

'd still make a few of them walk the plank, but will be a step towards a better opinion, provided they price the tickets right and involve the fans a great deal in really setting the place up.

5)Which players should Rovers look to sign over the summer?

ot sure I have enough knowledge, so I'm putting my faith in McGhee to get it right for us. Some non league gems and a real focus on bringing on younger players has to be the way forward.

6)Which player would you happily drive to his new club to get rid?

espite being a cutthroat brigand of the sea, I never dislike players enough for that. Besides they are paid enough to pay their own damn fare.

7)Favourite current player?

do like wingers, so I hope we keep Caryol.

8)Favourite all time player?

never saw any of them, but any of the 50s team - Bamford, Petherbridge, Hooper, Bradford. Of those I saw - Jamie Shore. Quality.

9)Where do you expect to see us finish next season?

'd love to say top 3 and at least the playoffs, but away form bothers me. 9th.

10)Given the opportunity is there any question from the Club you would like to know the answer to?

hy so long to approach UWE?

11)And finally Which celebrity/s would you most like to meet and why?

'd crank up the time machine for Ferenc Puskas. All round top man and footballing genius.
