Bevan To Miss The Start Of The Season

Goalkeeper Scott Bevan is set to miss the start of the new season.

The shot stopper had surgery on a wrist injury in the summer, but was expected to be fit in time for the start of the new season. It now looks like Bevan will be out for longer, which means summer signing Conor Gough will be given the chance to start the season in goal.

Gough was signed this summer from Charlton Athletic, but so far has only made one league appearance and that was a in Rovers 4-0 deafeat against Dagenham & Redbridge on the last day of the season. Gough has had loan spells Lewes, St Albans, Eastbourne Borough and Chelmsford City.
