McGhee Targets Clarkson

Former Bristol City striker Dave Clarkson is a target for Mark McGhee.

The 26 year old forward is currently training with Rovers and McGhee is hoping to secure the striker. Clarkson was released by Bristol City in the Summer after three years with the club. He made over 60 appearances for City and scored 11 times, although over half of his appearances was from the bench.

Clarkson had a short spell with Brentford last season scoring once in four games. Clarkson was a 800,000 signing for City back in 2009 after the striker netted over 50 goals for Motherwell.
