Rovers Start With A Win

Rovers stated off their pre-season with a 3-0 win against the Royal Marines.

Striker Matt Harrold, Joe Anyinsah and Chris Zebroski were the scorers for Rovers. There was impressive performances from young winger Shaquille Hunter and new signing Seanan Clucas who arrived from Preston North End. Mark McGhee handed run outs to several of the clubs youngsters in a game that was split into three 30 minute periods.

Conor Gough was in goal for Rovers and did well in the few occasions he was called upon. Rovers also gave a run out to German triallist Fabian Broghammer who is a 22 year old left winger. Fabian Broghammer has represented Germany at Under 17 and Under 19 level, his clubs include VfB Stuttgart II, SV Darmstadt 98 and Bayern Alzenau. Broghammer came close to adding a fourth for Roves with an excellent volley.
