Vital Gas Interviews 2012: GasheadWes/Pirate

1)How long have you been a Rovers fans?

I've been a proper Gashead since we moved back to Bristol really. My father has always been a gashead and dragged me along - i've been hooked ever since.

2)Mark McGhee, your opinion please?

It's obviously early days and he hasn't really had chance to build his own team yet, but so far so good. He speaks a good game, has vast amounts of experience (including 3 promotions) and generally comes across well. I have confidence in the manager and beliver he will deliver for us.

3)Best and worst moments of last season?

Although it was a pretty miserable season all in all i still thought there were a few stand out moments - unsurprisingly all after Mark McGhee became manager. The 7-1 vs Burton and the 5-1 vs Accrington were pretty special, but i particulary enjoyed McGhee's first game in charge vs Cheltenham - a great atmosphere and a great debut win for the new manager.

4)What will your opinion of the board be if they deliver The New Mem as promised?

It will be a remarkable achievement and they will deserve all the credit you could give. We all know the new stadium is desperately needed and it will enable us to move forward and grow the football club.

5)Which players should Rovers look to sign over the summer?

Izale McLeod on a free would appear an obvious choice after scoring a lot of goals for a struggling Barnet side over the past couple of seasons. Clarke Carlise is a player i've always admired from a distance and having impressed on loan for Northampton in League Two i think his experience could prove invaluable to the club. I'd also like to see us make room in the squad for a few young and hungry players in the non-league game as i fully believe the quality is out there...

6)Which player would you happily drive to his new club to get rid?

Chris Zebroski.

7)Favourite current player?

Muzzy Carayol

8)Favourite all time player?

Jason Roberts, Barry Hayles, Andy Tillson, Mark Walters and Rickie Lambert - tough to pick between them.

9)Where do you expect to see us finish next season?

My head says playoffs and my heart says top of the league. Hopefully my heart is right!

10)Given the opportunity is there any question from the Club you would like to know the answer to?

What is the meaning of life and why does the 'attention please, attention please' public safety announcer at the mem speak so quietly?

11)And finally Which celebrity/s would you most like to meet and why?

Both sadly no longer with us... Bill Hicks - the best comedian ever in my opinion and a great man. And Brian Clough - football genius.
