Anthony Released By Hereford

Anthony Released By Hereford

Former Bristol Rovers defender Byron Anthony has been released by Blue Square Premier side Hereford United.

Anthony only signed for the Welsh side on a non contract basis two weeks ago, but the 28 year old was sent off in Hereford's 4-2 home win over Cambridge on Saturday meaning he will have to serve a three match ban, so Hereford have opted to cancel Anthony's contract to free up wages to bring in a loan signing.

Anthony spent the end of last season on loan at Hereford after falling out of favour at Rovers. he made 15 appearances and scored once, but after being released by Rovers in the summer Anthony had been with out a club until signing for Hereford two weeks ago.

Woah there Lenny. Lord Byron might be Welsh, but Hereford definitely isn't!
