McGhee Left Disappointed By Draw

Mark McGhee was left disappointed by his side 1-1 draw away at Burton Albion.

Former Bristol City striker gave Rovers the lead scoring his third goal of the season, but Burton hit back through Billy Kee. McGhee said to TIB 'We had chances to take it further away from Burton and shut out the game. Then we gave away a slack free-kick, a lazy free-kick, which is something we've talked about and worked on - but it resulted in a goal.

'That was hugely disappointing because it was too easy a goal to concede away from home when you're 1-0 up. I thought we had some decent situations with balls across their box and the keeper having to make a double save.

'I said before the game that I probably thought we'd need to score a couple of goals to win here and we had chances to do that. We were short of attacking options because of the players who were missing, but my gut feeling is still one of disappointment.'

Bristol Rovers are 21st in League Two after Saturdays draw.
