Bevan In Injury Worry
Goalkeeper Scott Bevan could be facing a second operation on his troublesome wrist.
The 33 year old former former Torquay shot stopper had a operation on his wrist in the summer, at first it was hoped that Bevan would be back for the start of the season. A return date was later moved to October as it became clear he was taken longer to recover than first hoped, but we are now in October and Scott is no nearer to returning to first team action and is facing the possibility of going under the knife again.
'We are very concerned about Scott's situation because it has gone way beyond anything that I expected when I was surprisingly told at the end of last season that he needed an operation.
'I think very soon we are going to have to make a decision because Scott will have to accept that it (wrist) is never going to be 100 per cent.
'He'll either have to get back out there and do what he did last season and play with his wrist strapped up or he'll have to face up to having a second operation.
'That would be a worry because that would leave his future very uncertain. If he has another operation there is no certainty that he would play again.' Said McGhee to TIB.
Rovers have other option whilst Bevan is out in on loan keeper Neil Etheridge and Sam Walker and Conor Gough who signed from Charlton in the summer.
