John Ward Set For Rovers

Vital Gas has tonight been informed by a source at Plymouth Argyle that John Ward will be the man who Rovers turn to, to keep the club in the Football League.

Ward was set to take the role of Director Of Football at Plymouth Argyle, but its now thought Ward has decided to take up Rovers offer instead. Ward was Manager of Bristol Rovers for around three years back in 1993- 1996, he also had a spell at local rivals Bristol City where he won promotion to to the First Division. He has been out of work since being sacked by Colchester United in September this year.

There is expected to be a press conference sometime tomorrow.
