Lund Moves To Southend

Former loan player Matt Lund has joined League Two side Southend United.

Lund joins Southend on a 28 day emergency loan deal. The 22 year old made 16 starts for Rovers this season before returning to Stoke City, he also spent time on loan with Rovers last season. Manager John Ward did try to secure a loan deal to bring Lund back for the rest of the season, but was unable to secure a deal.

Lund has been told his contract which runs out at the end of the season will not be renewed and that he is free to find a new club preferably before the end of the season.
