Ward Completes Tounkara Deal

John Ward has completed the signing of former Sunderland striker OumareTounkara.

Tounkara has signed a deal which will keep him with Rovers until the end of the season. The 22 year old did not make a start for Sunderland, but has league experience due to spending a season with League One side Oldham Athletic. He scored 8 goals in 52 appearances over two seperate loan spells.

Rover are short up front as Ryan Brunt is out injured at the moment as well as David Clarkson and Matt Harrold who are both out for the rest of the season. Tounkara will go straight into the squad that faces Burton at the Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
