Clarkson Close To Motherwell Return

Former Bristol Rovers striker David Clarkson has been offered the chance to train with Scottish Premier side Motherwell.

Clarkson was released this summer after Rovers relegation to the Conference after spending three seasons with Rovers. The 28 year old was signed by former manager Mark McGhee after he was released by Bristol City.

Clarkson went on to make over 50 appearances for Rovers scoring thirteen times. He was used a lot in midfield during his time at Rovers.

Clarkson was at Motherwell for seven season, making over 251 appearances and scoring 56 goals.
