James Clarke Staying With Rovers

Defender James Clarke has today agreed a new deal to stay with Bristol Rovers.

The 27 year old joined Rovers from Woking in the summer of 2015 and made 40 appearances in Rovers first season back in the Football League. Clarke who can play any where across the back four as also played a major part for Rovers this season in League One making 26 appearances for the club.

He previously worked under Manager Darrell Clarke whilst at Salisbury. Manager Darrell Clarke had this to say this afternoon to the Official site "I am delighted that James has agreed to stay with us. His ability to play anywhere across the back line has been invaluable to us and will continue to be in the future.

"He has been a valued, and popular, member of the squad since he first joined us and I am looking forward to working with him again next season."
