Trollope Targets Top Half

Trollope Targets Top Half

Bristol Rovers coach Paul Trollope has set his side a target of making into the top half of the League One table over the festive period.

Rovers currently lie in 19th place just 4 points above the relegation zone, but have at least one game in hand on the teams around them.

Trollope said to the Evening Post 'We have tough games to come over Christmas but we believe we can pick up enough points to move up the table.

'We have set ourselves a short-term goal of still being in the FA Cup and in the top half of the table after Christmas. We have done one part of it and now the harder bit is to come.

'We feel we are in a false position - but most of the teams around us would be saying that as well. Our performances have warranted more and we just have to keep our recent form going.'

I would be happy with 7 points out of 17 against that lot.
