Clarke Starts With A Win
The Memorial Stadium
29th March 2014
Darrell Clarke started his career as Bristol Rovers Manager with a home win.
Clarke made his mark on the team going to a 4-4-2 formation with two wingers on either side of midfield, he also dropped captain Tom Parkes and replaced him with Danny Woodards in the centre of defence.
The pitch was difficult to play football on and neither side really created a clear cut opening, although Rovers were trying to pass the ball. It looked as if Rovers were going to have to settle for a draw but deep into injury time Mohamed powered home Ellis Harrison's superb cross from the right to give Rovers a win and ease their relegation fears.
Rovers are 20th in League Two six points above the relegation zone, next up for Rovers is a trip away to Bury who sit two places above Rovers.
