Vital Gas Interviews:Ross Wolsey

Vital Gas Interviews:Ross Wolsey
1) Can you remember your first Rovers game? The first memory I have was when I was 5 and we beat the city 3-0 to win the title and my dad lifting me over the barrier and running on the pitch I didn't have a clue what was going on and remembering crying because I was so scared. But the result was great.
2) Best moment of the season?Has to be Lee Browns winner and the celebrations down Gloucester rd incredible stuff.
3) Worst moment of the season? Got to be the 4-1 thrashing at home to Newport but maybe it was the kick up the bottom that we needed
4) Which player/players if any would happily drive to a new club? From this season I would say Lee Nichols made a lot of mistakes in goal the F.A Cup that's all I'll say on that.
5) Which players realistically would you like to see Rovers sign in the summer?Reda Johnson who has been released from Coventry he's a good defender maybe the board could make a statement and buy a top midfielder or striker Jay Simpson or a Tom Bradshaw from Walsall.
6) Opinion on the new board? So far so good making all the right noises would love to see this new stadium being built we really need it.
7) Opinion on Darrell Clarke?Love the man he's ambitious, loyal, great football brain and he doesn't take any mucking about.
8) What did you make of Supporters Club Chairman Jim Chappells end of season statement?Honestly just ridiculous just no need for it the players and staff needed a break and so they should have.
9) Who was your first footballing hero?It was Devon White not the greatest technically but he was such a handful and every time I used to go to Twerton he would score I just thought he was brilliant.
10) Do you have a second team? If so what is your reason?I do and it's Liverpool because of my Grandad he was from Liverpool I don't care as much for them as I used to its more about The gas these days.
11) What do you expect from Rovers in their first season back in League One?
I honestly think if we can keep hold of the squad that includes massively on Matty Taylor as well and add some quality in the summer I think we could have a decent season maybe just missing out or sneaking in the playoffs who knows UTG.
